Obsidian forms when lava hits air or water and cools almost instantly. There's no time for crystals to form, so geologists don't even class it as a true mineral. It's glass, made by a volcano.

The silver shimmer running through the beads is the best part of it. Those are microscopic gas bubbles, trapped as the lava cooled and left aligned in the direction it was flowing. Catch them at the right angle and the whole bracelet lights up.

How do I know the money actually reaches the cats?

Because you can look. We work with named local rescuers and shelters who do the street feeding, and every month we publish photos from those rounds on this site. Hundreds are already up. If a cause can't show you that, be suspicious of it.

What does "10 meals" actually mean?

A portion of every order goes to our rescue partners, and ten meals is what that portion covers based on what food costs them. It is our own measure, not an industry standard, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Will it fit her?

Almost certainly. It's elastic and one size, sized for an average adult wrist, and it stretches comfortably over the hand. If her wrists are unusually small or unusually large it may sit tighter or looser than she'd like — and if that happens, send it back and we'll refund it.

How do I look after it?
